National Post-doc Conference 2025 (NPDC25)
Call open for EOI to host the next NPDC25

Host selection applications open 21 May 2024 until 21 June 2024

The National Postdoc Conference is run every two years and is an opportunity for postdoctoral researchers to engage with current issues, supporting their careers, professional development and improving research culture. Following the footsteps of the successful meetings run by postdocs at University of Cambridge (2017) (https://www.pdoc.cam.ac.uk/npm2017NEW), a hybrid event ran in London (2019), the fully online conference at the University of Liverpool (2021) (https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/researcher/postdoc-appreciation-week/npdc/), and the hybrid event ran by the University of Loughborough/CDICE (2023) (https://www.cdice.ac.uk/npdc23/).

UKRSA are looking to select the next host of the National Postdoc Conference who will run an event for postdocs across the UK covering a mixture of sessions and workshops. The majority of attendees will be postdocs but other key stakeholders such as funders and researcher developers will be invited to speak.

The selection committee will include Chairs of UKRSA, Vitae representatives, a neutral UKRN Chair, and former organisers of the NPDC to score and short-list potential hosts, and then invite them for interview.

Short-listed potential hosts will be invited for interview in early July, and the selected hosts and date of the NPDC 2025 will be announced by the end of July 2024.
